Esther's Aid for Needy and Abandoned began its grass-roots operations in New Rochelle, New York in 1999 to help children in need and the homeless in our local community.  In partnership with churches, we immersed ourselves in working in homeless shelters, group homes, feeding the poor and other humanitarian efforts.
During a visit to Rwanda in April of 2000, former Nigerian Diplomat and Founder Clare Effiong witnessed the aftermath of the 1994 genocide.
